Health and Healing
The Eastern philosophy believes that for every health issue, there
is an underlying emotional component. For example, arthritis might be
due to an underlying feeling of being unloved and a desire to punish.
Migraine Headaches could be a result of the dislike of being driven
and resisting the flow of life. Stuttering is generally a result of
a time in someone's life where they were not allowed to cry.
Because of its nature, hypnosis is able to reveal the underlying emotional
issues and balance them. Since the health issues are just the symptoms,
i.e. your subconscious trying to communicate to you that there is a
problem, once the emotions are back in balance, the health issues seem
to just fade away. Whether the issue is pain, digestive issues or even
cancer, hypnosis can help, many times completely eliminating the problem.
In Florida, for any diagnosed health issue, a medical referral letter
is needed. This can be provided by your hypnotist as a form letter for
your doctor or other health professional.
Cathy's Story
Cathy was having major health issues. She had been diagnosed with fibromyalgia
as well as arthritis. She was in constant pain, had difficulty sleeping
and was continually exhausted and frequently sick.
Though it was difficult at first for Cathy to focus, within just a
few sessions she was able to attain an excellent working level of hypnosis.
As a child, Cathy had always felt left out in her family environment.
Her mother and sister were very close, and she always felt like the
outsider. Because of the way they treated her and the way she perceived
her situation, her subconscious mind adopted the belief that Cathy didn't
deserve to be here. She had deep, inner feelings of being undeserving,
unwanted and had very little self worth. The pain she was feeling physically
was a manifestation of the unspoken pain she had deep inside, and was
literally killing her.
By helping Cathy understand the communication of the subconscious mind,
and resolving old feelings of resentment, contempt, shame and guilt,
Cathy began to feel better, emotionally and physically. We worked on
improving her self-esteem and self-worth, and she began to feel better
about herself. As she went through this process, she learned new ways
of responding to situations, being more assertive and less blaming.
She was taking control of her life, and as she did, the pain began to
disappear. She began to feel alive again, as though a cloud had lifted
from her life and her body.
Today Cathy is symptom free. She has learned new behaviors and habits to help her react positively to the people and events in her life, and continues to make changes in her life that are positive. She has been able to heal old relationships, and deals with stress effectively, no longer allowing it to affect her mental or physical health.
