Addictions
We are an addictive society, the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse
and Alcoholism says that presently, nearly 14 million Americans - 1
in 13 adults - are alcoholic or abuse alcohol heavily. We're addicted
to nicotine, prescription drugs, even food. Why do we let these substances
control our lives? And what can be done about it?
Addicts are not the only ones affected by this affliction. Their families, extended families, peers and friends can also be helped by learning new ways and techniques to live with the person who has the addiction
Hypnosis can be very effective for most addictions. You probably know someone who has stopped smoking with hypnosis. Finding the triggers that cause the addictive behaviors, and dealing with the cause for those triggers is crucial to eliminating the behaviors. For most people, in just five to seven sessions, the cords of dependency can be cut, allowing you to live a normal life.
